PURPOSE: A freshness maintaining apparatus for fruits is provided to use a lighting unit formed with LEDs emitting light having the specific wavelength to the inside of a fruit box for maintaining the freshness and the nutrition of the fruits. CONSTITUTION: A freshness maintaining apparatus for fruits comprises the following: a lighting unit(20) installed inside a box(10) for emitting light having the specific wavelength to the fruits; LEDs(21) emitting light into the box; a battery connected to the LEDs for applying electricity; a switch connected to the LEDs and the battery for short-circuiting the electricity; and a reflector(11) formed on the inner wall of the box using reflecting materials for diffused reflecting the light from the lighting unit. The lighting unit emits light having the wavelength of 420-490nm. The lighting unit is formed with a partition wall separating the fruits on the upper and lower sides of the box.
