<p>The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in the production and use of shock absorbers. The problem addressed by the invention consists in improving the damping properties of the shock absorber, wherein the vehicle shock absorber comprises a casing, a piston-end cap, a rod-end cap, a piston rod and a piston, which are capable of jointly performing a longitudinal movement, and the casing is designed in such a way that, in the area or areas adjacent to the caps of the shock absorber, the inner cavity of the casing comprises, along the length of the casing area, at least two sections and, in each of the sections, the inside diameter of the casing along the length of the section (in the direction from the piston-end cap towards the rod-end cap) decreases to the size of a minimum inside diameter of the casing in this section, and then increases to the size of a maximum inside diameter of the casing in this section. Technical results: significant increase in the force counteracting the movement of the piston in the casing in the areas adjacent to the caps of the shock absorber; the provision of two lateral sealing surfaces during movement of the piston in these areas.</p> |
