<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a less-fragile LED device. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage restricting element (105) is shared by connecting the voltage restricting element (105) in parallel at both ends of a set of a plurality of homopolar series connection type LEDs (101). The LEDs (101) are protected from overvoltage by separately connecting equalizing resistors (107) in parallel at both ends of each LED (101). When a surge voltage generated from a power source occurs, the surge voltage is absorbed through the shared voltage restricting element (105), thereby preventing each LED (101) from being broken due to momentary overvoltage and overcurrent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
