<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a connector housing with a shield shell by low insertion force, and lock the connector housing with the shield shell by high holding force. <P>SOLUTION: In this locking structure of a shield connector 1, a flexible locking arm 17 with an outward protrusion 18 is provided on an insulative connector housing 5, and a locked part 10, with which the protrusion is engaged, is provided on a conductive shield shell 4 externally inserted in the connector housing. While the protrusion is half-engaged with the locked part, flexion of the locking arm in an unlocking direction is blocked. When the shield shell is externally inserted in the connector housing, with the locking arm being flexed, the protrusion is press-fitted along an inner surface 8c of the shield shell. A stopper projecting part 19 whose inner surface is brought into contact with an outer surface 15 of the connector housing 5 is opposed to an inner surface 17b of the locking arm 17 in the flexion direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
