<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a reduced vertical dimension of a heavy drum washing machine when packed. <P>SOLUTION: A packaging device for a washing machine includes: an outer cover 13 made of corrugated board for covering a drum washing machine 11; a base 12 made of foamed polystyrene on which the drum washing machine 11 is placed; and legs 16 provided vertically movably at the bottom of the drum washing machine 11. A lower end of the leg is provided with a leg rubber 18 having an increased diameter, and a synthetic resin reinforcing member 20 with a recession 19 having an opening in the top into which the leg rubber 18 is inserted is provided at a position corresponding to the leg 16 on the base 12. This configuration allows the height dimension of the foamed polystyrene base 12 to be reduced to thereby achieve a reduced vertical dimension of a package, thus resulting in a decrease in transportation cost and inventory cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
