<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately transmit data between a line appropriately transferring data at predetermined intervals by hardware control or the like and an IP line when a line between devices is made IP-enabled. <P>SOLUTION: The data transmission control method is for transmitting data received via an IP line to the other line which transmits data periodically. When data received from the IP line is to be stored in a temporary storage, it is confirmed whether data is already stored in the temporary storage. If data is already stored, the received data is stored in the temporary storage; if data is not already stored, preset empty data is stored in the temporary storage, and then the received data is stored therein.
