The support has two free longitudinal edges (4,5) and a dimensionally stable, elastic core (9), which is disposed on a seat surface (2) of a seat bench (1) and is engaged in a cross-section with a sheet (11,12) of one of the longitudinal edges. The core is made of foam plastic. The sheet sweeps an angle of more than 180 degree.
