<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device equipped with a fixing unit for heating and fixing a supporting material, which can prevent a problem such as the generation of image failures caused when water droplets condensing in the device adhere to the supporting material. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises a fixing unit for carrying a supporting material supporting a toner image and heating and fixing that, and a paper discharging unit disposed on a downstream side in a carrying direction of the fixing unit. The paper discharging unit is provided with a water droplet holding member 11 for holding water droplets at a position immediately below a carrying path of the supporting material. The water droplet holding member 11 is composed of a platy flat plate portion 2 configured by metal, a plurality of ribs 3 and 4 projecting from the flat plate portion 2, and a plurality of through-holes 5 penetrating the flat plate portion 2.
