PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for rearing fireflies in surroundings similar to natural.

SOLUTION: The insectary for fireflies is provided with a water channel 4 where water from a water source 1 flows in a prescribed flow rate and firefly larvae live, wherein the water flows at the flow rate of 3-30 cm/sec in the water channel 4, and the depth of the water channel 4 is 30 cm or less.
