The retractor (10) has a spindle (14) connected with a drive motor (12). A spindle nut slides along the spindle in axial direction. An end of a driver is connected with the spindle nut. A seat harness release is connected with another end of the driver. A cylindrical guide section formed inside the spindle nut cooperates with an outer geometry of the spindle. A free wheel (48) i.e. dog clutch, is arranged between the drive motor and the spindle. A pressure spring is arranged between the seat harness release and a stop element.
