<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight bulb enabled to perform up-and-down light distribution changeover and easy to be detached, through solution of problems of light volume shortage, irradiation from a single light source disadvantageous to light distribution and heat dissipation, with a view to changing into a headlight bulb with light-emitting bodies such as LEDs as a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The LED bulb is a system aiming at a point light source such as a halogen bulb, by arranging a reflector for reflecting light from a light-emitting body at an upper part with its shape in a curved circular cone to minimize a distance between the light-emitting body and the reflector, and further, the light-emitting body is arranged offset against a center point of the reflector to enable up-and-down light distribution changeover. Moreover, the reflector, a body for mounting the light-emitting body, as well as a support pillar for combining them are made of materials of high thermal conductivity in order to release heat generated at the light-emitting body, and heat sinks are arranged, in a detachable form, over and under those structural components for improvement in heat dissipation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
