<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for thermal spraying dissimilar metals, by which different kinds of metals are thermal-sprayed favorably to a pipe such as a cast iron pipe to be sprayed without causing localization of ingredients; and a thermal spraying machine. <P>SOLUTION: The method of thermal spraying dissimilar metals is directed to thermal spray different kinds of metals on the surface of a pipe as a material X to be sprayed while rotating the pipe about its axis center O, and includes: performing a wire rod feeding operation for feeding two wire rods A and B formed of dissimilar metals from respective wire feeding portions 3 and 4 provided separately in a welding machine 1 to the welding surface of the material X to be sprayed; performing an atomizing gas supplying operation for supplying an atomizing gas to the portion where the dissimilar metals are welded; and performing a shape-controlling gas supply operation for supplying a gas from a shape controlling gas supply portion 5 so as to obtain an elliptic shape at thermal sprayed portion. In the wire rod feeding operation, the wire rods A and B come into contact with each other in a state where the wire rods are arranged in the direction substantially orthogonal to the pipe axis center O at the contact portion of the wire rods A and B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
