<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which can set freshness dates and consumption time limits as to foods in the refrigerator so that users of the refrigerator are prompted to eat the foods before the dates within and time limits and electronize memos stuck on the refrigerator, and is connected to the Internet to perform stock management on the refrigerator and to display a calendar and contents. <P>SOLUTION: A CCD camera is installed over a multipurpose refrigerator, and foods which are put in and out of the refrigerator are photographed to send image information to an Internet server. Shaped images are displayed on a liquid crystal touch panel, and consumption time limits and freshness dates are input there. Foods after freshness dates and consumption time limits are displayed on the touch panel and vocally warned through a speaker. The liquid crystal touch panel can be used as a readable/writable notepad. Further, a calendar of garbage collection dates by cities, towns, villages and recipes of dishes, etc., can be displayed as contents of WWW associatively with the Internet server.
