<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load peak at the initial stage of a collision, of a crash can 1 and reduce an impact received by a vehicle body and an occupant upon the collision. <P>SOLUTION: The crash can 1 is made of a die-cast aluminum alloy and is provided with a cylindrical portion 5 having a closed section structure extending in a vehicle forward-backward direction. On a bumper reinforcement 3 side of the cylindrical portion 5, a flange 6 connected with the bumper reinforcement 3 is disposed. On the cylindrical portion 5 side surface of the flange 6, there is formed a recessed portion 11 with a cross section the center part of which is recessed toward the bumper reinforcement 3 side as viewed from a vehicle width direction, and, in the recessed portion 11, the cylindrical portion 5 becomes a convex portion corresponding to the recessed portion 11 and is unified with the flange 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
