<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side-reinforced type run flat tire having an improved service life for emergency running more than a conventional product. <P>SOLUTION: The run flat tire includes: a carcass 4 which has a pair of right and left bead parts 1, a pair of sidewall parts 2 continued from the respective bead parts 1 toward the radially outside of the tire, and treads 3 continued from the sidewall parts 2, and which comprises one or more sheets of carcass plies of organic fiber cords that are extended in a toroidal shape between the pair of bead parts 1 and reinforce these parts; and a side reinforcing rubber layer 5 disposed inside the carcass 4 in the sidewall part 2 and having a crescent-like cross-sectional shape. The rubber constituting the sidewall part 2 comprises a rubber composition containing a rubber component and a filler component, and the filler component contains at least each one kind of fibrous filler and particulate filler. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
