<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue the steering of a steering wheel even when a buckled part is ruptured. <P>SOLUTION: A second rod 22 includes a buckling part 31. A groove 32 is formed in the buckling part 31. The second rod 22 is also provided with connecting parts 41, 42 elastically deformable in response to a load applied to a tie rod 20 while both sides astride the buckling part 31 in a tie rod 20 are connected thereto. When a load more than a prescribed load is applied to the tie rod 20, stress is concentrated on a stress concentration part so that the buckling part 31 is ruptured. The connecting parts 41, 42 are elastically deformed when a load is applied to the tie rod 20. By so doing, loads applied to the connecting parts 41, 42 are absorbed through elastic deformation.
