<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signboard device in which a degree of attention to a signboard can be increased and costs can also be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A signboard device includes a base member, a display device and a light-emitting unit. The base member has a back plate and a back light source which is provided in at least any other area than a predetermined area in the back plate. The display device has a motion picture display section which is provided so as to cover a front face of the predetermined area and in which a motion picture can be displayed, and a frame which is provided around the motion picture display section within a plane orthogonal with a longitudinal direction.
