The double clutch transmission has two clutches (K1,K2), whose input sides are connected with a drive shaft (w0) and its output sides are connected with one of the two co-axial transmission input shafts (w1,w2) of sub-transmissions. Multiple switchable transmission ratios are assigned to the sub-transmissions. The transmission ratios are coupled with another drive shaft (w4) by a counter shaft (w3) and a range groups designed as planetary transmission. The switchable transmission ratio of one of the sub-transmissions independent from the range groups is coupled with an output shaft.
