<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for realizing low power consumption without deteriorating the image quality of a virtual image to be recognized by a user in a head-mounted display device. <P>SOLUTION: A head-mounted display device for allowing a user to visually recognize a virtual image while being mounted on the head of the user includes: a right-eye image light generation part for generating image light, based on right-eye image data, and radiating the light; a left-eye image light generation part for generating image light, based on left-eye image data, and radiating the light; a pair of light guide parts for guiding the radiated image light to the right and left eyes of the user; and a display control part for transmitting a control signal to control the radiation of the image light respectively to the right-eye image light generation part and the left-eye image light generation part. The display control part allows one of the right-eye and left-eye image light generation parts to stop the radiation of the image light and allows the other to perform the radiation of the image light in accordance with a predetermined condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
