<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source controller and a video display device which allow an amount of light emitted by a solid light source to be quickly made a target light amount. <P>SOLUTION: A video display device includes a solid light source 120, a liquid crystal panel 150 for modulating light emitted by the solid light source 120, a Peltier element 120 for cooling the solid light source 120, a video signal reception unit 320 for receiving video signals for setting a modulation amount of the liquid crystal panel, and a cooling force control unit 330 for controlling cooling force of the Peltier element according to video signals received by the video signal reception unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
