<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage of a roller by a butt portion of a guide member for guiding a recording medium from the roller in a direction separating therefrom. <P>SOLUTION: A butt member 430 of the fixing device has a corner portion of a contact part 434 that, when a thermal expansion amount of an outer peripheral surface of a fixing roller 330 (or a pressure roller 370) is varied in the longitudinal direction (X direction), comes into contact with a roller outer peripheral surface and rotationally turns in C direction. The tip portion of the contact part 434 of the butt member 430 thus follows a change in the shape of the outer peripheral surface of the fixing roller 330 (or the pressure roller 370). In the butt member 430, the tip portion of the contact part 434 comes into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the fixing roller 330 (or the pressure roller 370) and the contact part 434 swings and secures a contact width to the outer peripheral surface of the fixing roller 330 (or the pressure roller 370). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
