<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive worm wheel small having excellent strength and durability. <P>SOLUTION: The worm wheel 31 includes teeth 32 made of metal, and a circumferential groove 34 crossing the central parts of the teeth 32 in the axial direction X1. The central parts of tooth faces 37 in the axial direction X1 are cut by the circumferential groove 34. The tooth faces 37 of the teeth 32 are formed by forging. The circumferential groove 34 reaches tooth bottoms 36, and the tooth faces 37 are divided into pairs of portions 37a, 37a on the opposite sides of the circumferential groove 34. Using the circumferential groove 34 as a lubricant supply path, the lubricant is supplied plentifully from the circumferential groove 34 to the pairs of portions 37a, 37a of the tooth faces 37. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
