<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap system for cooling the head and keeping the head cool that applies a cooling load to the scalp of a patient who is subjected to radiation treatment, the cap system enabling high-accuracy, simple and long-term cooling and cold insulation without using an electric drive source such as a heat sink or recirculation motor, while keeping sanitary condition, and attaining various functions, such as reduction in the burden of the patient due to a change in temperature or prevention of incomplete cooling due to difference in the shape of the head different by individual. <P>SOLUTION: The system for cooling head prevents hear loss during chemotherapy that uses a high-performance refrigerant as a cold source. The hair loss as a side effect of the chemotherapy is prevented or mitigated by adding the indirect cold load to the scalp by combining an under cap (100) made of the high temperature conduction material to be mounted on the head of the patient and an over cap (110) which is equipped with the high heat insulation part to separate the external atmosphere at the outer surface and the cool storage part where constant cold is stored at the inner surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
