<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal belt maintaining excellent flexure durability even under increase of a load on the belt because of a higher speed or a smaller diameter, and having excellent thermal conductivity capable of rapidly heating a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The metal belt is a sleeve type metal belt made of a nickel alloy. The nickel alloy has crystalline orientation with dominant growth on a (200) plane with a crystalline orientation ratio (200/111) of 1.00 or more, and contains an element satisfying the following conditions (1) to (3) except for nickel. The element has (1) an atomic radius of 1.16 to 1.47 Å, (2) an electronegativity of 1.5 to 1.9 and (3) a thermal conductivity of 150 W/mK or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
