<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine device including an exhaust emission control system capable of easily reducing length in an exhaust gas movement direction of a catalyst case 5 while being inexpensively formable by reducing the number of components of a casing structure such as a catalyst case 5 provided with an inlet pipe 16. <P>SOLUTION: This engine device includes an exhaust emission control system 1 formed with an exhaust gas inflow space 11 between an exhaust gas movement direction upstream-side end face 8 of a catalyst case 5 for storing a diesel oxidative catalyst 2, and an end face 2a of the diesel oxidative catalyst 2. In the catalyst case 5, an exhaust gas flow inlet 12 of an elliptical shape having a minor axis in the exhaust gas movement direction and a major axis in a direction orthogonal to the exhaust gas movement direction is opened at a part corresponding to the exhaust gas inflow space 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
