<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a headphone which can obtain satisfactory fit feeling without increasing a thickness dimension of an ear pad, and can stably maintain a posture during attachment without causing displacement even when a user's head is moved in an attached state. <P>SOLUTION: A speaker unit 8 is attached to a base 2 of a headphone unit. An ear pad 6 is firmly fixed to a surface of the base 2 through which sound is released by the speaker unit 8. In the ear pad 6, a first cushion material 61 having a large repulsion elastic coefficient and a second cushion material 62 having a small repulsion elastic coefficient are stacked over each other in the shape of layers. The first cushion material 61 is firmly fixed to the base 2. The second cushion material 62 is elastically deformed under a lateral pressure exerted on the ear pad 6.
