<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for assembling an engine, by which an existing ignition plug can be installed to a cylinder head without changing the existing ignition plug so that an outer electrode is positioned at an optimum mounting angle for ignition. <P>SOLUTION: When a master plug 12 is fastened to a plug mounting hole 101 formed in the cylinder head 100, a cylinder head grade setting means 10 discriminates the cylinder head 100 according to the mounting turning angle position of the master plug 12. Meanwhile, an ignition plug grade setting means 30 discriminates the ignition plug 110 according to the direction 118a of the outer electrode 118 with a mounting screw portion 117 for the ignition plug 110 fastened to a mounting hole 32 formed in a master head 31, and the ignition plug 110 with a grade discriminated corresponding to the cylinder head 100 is fastened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
