<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor including a spacer which maintains a proper distance between stators and suppresses detent torque even though impact force or vibration is applied thereto. <P>SOLUTION: Inter-stator distance adjusting protrusions 14a are provided at a spacer 14, and adjusting protrusion receiving parts 8e, each of which corresponds to each inter-stator distance adjusting protrusion 14a, are provided at a lower stator core 8b forming a first stator 8. The inter-stator distance adjusting protrusions 14a and the adjusting protrusion receiving parts 8e are formed into step-wise shapes, and a protrusion 14c is provided at each inter-stator distance adjusting protrusion 14a.
