<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber strand wire cutting method with which an optical fiber strand wire can be cut in a short time using a simple facility while covering it with coating. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber strand wire cutting method includes applying, in a length direction of an optical fiber strand wire, a tensile force to an arbitrary cutting position of the optical fiber strand wire in which the outside of an optical fiber is covered with coating, pressing a blade which is being rotated forcibly from one direction of a coating outer circumferential surface side of the optical fiber strand wire to the cutting position, cutting the coating and slitting at least the optical fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
