The control device determines an estimated value for an actual amount of nitrous oxide emission with exhaust gas emitted to an environment, and changes the operational parameter. A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalytic converter (36) comprises a zeolite coating. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an exhaust gas after-treatment system.</p>
