<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle pole antenna capable of reducing electrical characteristic variations due to bending, and also reducing the physical length of the antenna. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle pole antenna fixed to an antenna support includes a rod 10, a helical antenna element 20, a joint 30, and a mast cover 40. The rod 10 has flexibility and insulating properties, and has a recess 11 at a basal end face thereof. The helical antenna element 20 is made of a coated wire wound around the rod 10, and the winding density in the vicinity of a starting point from which the rod 10 is bent is lower than the winding density of areas except there. The joint 30 has a projection 31 engaged with the recess 11 at the basal end face of the rod 10, and is configured to electrically connect the helical antenna element 20 and to be connected to the antenna support. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
