<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device and a video display method, by which a user can easily select a program to be watched even if a numerical keypad is not provided in a remote control device. <P>SOLUTION: A display unit 50 displays a video of a program. While the video of the program is displayed on the full screen of the display unit 50, an operation detection unit 53 detects a rotational operation of a dial provided on a remote control device 20. When the rotational operation is detected by the operation detection unit 53, a control unit 55 functions so that while the video of the program is displayed on the display unit 50, a program list including a plurality of program items associated with respective different programs is displayed on the display unit 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
