<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butyl rubber composition containing chlorine or bromine in a rubber polymer and/or a vulcanizer, and capable of providing a halogen-free vulcanized material. <P>SOLUTION: The butyl rubber composition is obtained by blending 2 to 8 pts.wt of an alkylphenol-formaldehyde-based condensate and 3 to 25 pts.wt of zinc white based on 100 pts.wt of a butyl-based rubber composed of 97 to 85 wt% of a butyl rubber and 3 to 15 wt% of a halogenated butyl rubber. The butyl rubber composition, even in the case where the butyl rubber composition uses the rubber polymer and the vulcanizer containing chlorine or bromine, achieves such a halogen-free state that a chlorine content is ≤900 ppm, a bromine content is ≤900 ppm, and a total amount of the both is ≤1,500 ppm, as defined in IEC 61249-2-21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
