<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a pressure wave supercharging device to be controlled or regulated over a wide operation spectrum, and to improve a hereto known pressure wave supercharging device so that a control element is not susceptible to thermal expansion during operation of a pressure wave supercharger. <P>SOLUTION: In the pressure wave supercharging device, a regulation roll (11) is disposed in an area of a high temperature gas housing (H) for controlling and regulating the operation characteristics of the pressure wave supercharging device, and in a method for operating the pressure wave supercharging device, the regulation roll (11) is controlled and regulated depending on the operation condition of the pressure wave supercharger (D). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
