<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanically operable display which includes a bistable mechanism and can be driven at a low voltage for reduction in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an MEMS-based display device. Especially, the display device may includes an actuator having two mechanically compliant electrodes.
