VEHICLE BODY FRAME FOR MOTORCYCLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body frame for a motorcycle, which includes: a head pipe; a pair of right-and-left main frames extending rearward from the head pipe; a pair of right-and-left pivot plates which are joined respectively to back-end parts of the main frames from the inside of the motorcycle in the width direction and extended downward; and a cross member that has a shock absorber fitting part to which the upper end of a shock absorber is fitted and that is arranged between the upper ends of the pivot plates so that rigidity of a connection part of the cross member to the pivot plate can be ensured without making a frame member heavy and thick.

SOLUTION: The cross member 13 is arranged between the upper ends of the pivot plates 12 so that at least a part of the cross member is superposed on a joint part 37 of the main frame 8 and the pivot plate 12 as viewed in a side view and the upper end of the pivot plate 12 is held between the cross member and the back end of the main frame 8.
