<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing radioactive methyl iodide (CH<SB POS="POST">3</SB><SP POS="POST">131</SP>I) tracer used for radioactive organic iodine adsorptivity examination of impregnated charcoal in ASTM D 3803 examination, easily, safely, at room temperature, and by direct synthesis. <P>SOLUTION: The excessive synthesis duration can be decreased and the radiation exposure possibility by leakage of a volatile matter can be decreased in a distillation process, by mixing and directly synthesizing radioactive sodium iodide (Na<SP POS="POST">131</SP>I) and methyl iodide (CH<SB POS="POST">3</SB>I) at room temperature and under decompression. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
