<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the necessity of a large-capacity storage for allowing the same data to be read in a large amount at any time. <P>SOLUTION: A virtual file system 10 has storage means 11 for storing a file seed 111, file system access means 12, and data generation means 13. The file system access means 12, upon receiving a request 14 for reading a file, calls the data generation means 13. The data generation means 13 generates data of a file from the file seed 111 using a pseudo random number generation algorithm.
