<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an authentication system having higher efficiency and higher security than before which can be applied to small devices, such as an RFID. <P>SOLUTION: A small device and an authentication apparatus share ID information unique for each small device. The authentication apparatus has a map in which the ID of each small device is arranged. The small device calculates a plurality of vector distances consisting of an ID' which is obtained by adding a noise to the ID information and a random number which is received from the authentication apparatus, and the authentication apparatus authenticates the small device from the plurality of vector distances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
