<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing easily and effectively an objective designed glycopeptide. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing a modified peptide in which an amino acid residue having at least one sugar binding capacity is modified by a modifying group includes: (A) a step of obtaining a protected peptide containing two or more amino acid residues having a sugar binding capacity, wherein at least one of the amino acid residues having the sugar binding capacity is protected by a protecting group, and at least another of the amino acid residues having the sugar binding capacity is not protected; (B) a step of binding a modifying group to the unprotected amino acid residue having at least one sugar binding capacity in the protected peptide obtained in the step (A); and (C) a step of releasing the protection of the protecting group of the protected peptide having the modifying group obtained in the step (B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
