<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retinal degenerative disease model animal convenient and practical, and having a reduced ethical issue, a method for producing the same, and a method for identifying a representative substance of chemical compound acting on a clinical state of a retinal degenerative disease, using the retinal degenerative disease model. <P>SOLUTION: A small teleost fish model of retinal degenerative disease is deleted or suppressed in function of actr 1b, dynactin 3, or dynactin 4 gene. A screening method uses the small teleost fish model of retinal degenerative disease. The invention allows the identification of the representative substance of chemical compound acting on a clinical state of a retinal degenerative disease which is convenient and practical, and has a reduced ethical issue, and evaluates retinal morphology with high throughput. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
