<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous flux control member capable of easily and securely obtaining desired light distribution characteristics and also achieving diversification in the obtained light distribution characteristic and improvement in versatility accompanying that, an optical device equipped therewith, and a luminous flux shaping method. <P>SOLUTION: An incidence area 2 shapes light emitted from a light source 4 into light having first light distribution characteristics showing a maximum value of light intensity in predetermined two directions symmetrical based upon an optical axis on an arbitrary virtual plane including the whole optical axis, and an emission area 3 shapes the light shaped by the incidence area 2 and having the first light distribution characteristics into light having second light distribution characteristics as the desired light distribution characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
