<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high precision in aligning, regardless of the sheet size or the binding position. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus includes: an end-face-binding processing tray F that stacks conveyed sheets; trailing-end reference fences 51a and 51b that align the conveying direction of the sheets stacked on the end-face-binding processing tray F; an end-face-binding stapler S1 that moves along an end portion of a bundle of the sheets on a binding portion side and performs a binding process on the bundle of the sheets that have been aligned by the trailing-end reference fences 51a and 51b; first and second pressing members 110a and 110b that press the bundle of the sheets at the end portion thereof on the binding portion side; and a sliding member 110K that moves the first and second pressing members 110a and 110b in association with a motion of the end-face binding stapler S1, and the vicinity of the binding portion can be constantly pressed by the pressing member on the side moving in an associated manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
