<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost structure for easily removing foreign substances such as cutting chips produced during machining. <P>SOLUTION: A cover member 2 moving together with a workbench 1 is formed of a sheet-shaped member. Sliding members (side wipers 3a and 3b, front wiper 6, and rear wiper 7) are disposed in slide contact with a top surface of the cover member 2 so as to collect the foreign substances produced in machining a workpiece W and remaining on the cover member 2 by moving the cover member 2. The side wipers 3a and 3b are disposed in slide contact with exposed surfaces at both ends of a width direction of the cover member 2. When the cover member 2 moves in a predetermined direction, the foreign substances on the cover member 2 are collected so as to be easily removed by a brush, or the like.
