<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can be made compact to reduce the space for placing the device. <P>SOLUTION: In a color printer 1 using an LED exposure system, a process unit 15 holding photoreceptor drums 20 arranged in parallel at intervals includes LED units 16 moving between a close position close to the photoreceptor drum 20 so as to expose the photoreceptor drum 20 and a retracted position retracted from the photoreceptor drum 20.
