<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved radio communication device, base station, radio communication method, program, and radio communication system that can flexibly switch a cycle for communication of a paging channel. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication device comprises: a radio communication unit for wirelessly communicating with a base station; a detection unit for detecting a state change of the radio communication device; and a reception control unit for switching a reception cycle for receiving a paging channel transmitted by the base station to one of two or more cycles depending on detection results of the detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
