<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved surgical stapling incorporating fastener deployment and forming pressure. <P>SOLUTION: The surgical stapling device is provided and includes a housing, an elongated member, an end effector, an urging member for each of a first section and a second section; and a pressure sensor for each of the first section and the second section. The housing has an actuator. The elongated member extends from the housing. The end effector is disposed on an end part of the elongated member.
