<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of effectively preventing banding of a charge roller caused by engagement of a gear of a drive mechanism in the charging device including a cleaning member for removing dirt on the charge roller, and to provide a drum unit including the same, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When a drum-side gear 39 is rotated with the rotation of a photosensitive drum 38, an input-side gear 87 to be engaged with the drum-side gear 39 is rotated. The rotation drive of the input-side gear 87 is transmitted to an output-side gear 84, and a cleaning member 81 of a charging device 40 is rotated by the rotation drive. An engagement position R of the input-side gear 87 with the output-side gear 84 is located in the rotating-direction upstream side of the drum-side gear 39 with respect to a straight line L that passes a rotation center O1 of the drum-side gear 39 and a rotation center O2 of the input-side gear 87. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
