<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus accurately and surely acquiring a reference image of a scope at a place other than a plant or the like, and to provide a setting method of the reference image of the endoscope apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus 1 includes a body section 4 to which the scope having an image pickup device at a distal end portion of an insertion portion 7 is detachably attachable, a video signal processing section 22, a display section 5 and a control section 21. The control section 21 displays on the display section 5 an initialization instruction screen for instructing a user to start an initialization processing to acquire a reference image of the image pickup device, displays on the display section 5 a message for instructing the user to light-shield the distal end portion according to an instruction to start initialization processing, acquires the reference image with the distal end portion light-shielded and stores the acquired reference image in a memory 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
