<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear-view mirror capable of reducing abnormal noise generated when the direction of the mirror is adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: A base 20 attached to a vehicle has a support 22. A housing 30 has a portion 32 to be supported which is supported by the support 22 capable of relatively rotating or swinging when an outer force larger than the maximum frictional force between the support 22 and thereof is applied. The mirror is mounted to the housing 30. The support 22 and the portion 32 to be supported are fastened by a fastening member 50. The support 22 has a first spherical convex surface 221 spherically projected toward the portion 32 side to be supported. The portion 32 to be supported has a first spherical concave surface 341 spherically dented at the opposed side of the support 22. A plurality of circular steps 342 are formed at the first spherical concave surface 341 of a supporting cap 34 of the portion 32 to be supported. An annular corner 344 of each of the circular steps 342 is made to contact with the first spherical convex surface 221 of the support 22 so that the first spherical concave surface 341 is in linear contact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
